Kentucky’s secretary of state Alison Lundergan Grimes announced yesterday that citizens will soon be able to register to vote online. Currently 23 states allow their citizens to register online, while another five and the District of Columbia are still waiting on implementation. According to the State Board of Elections it will cost around 45,000 dollars to implement this new system, but money will be coming from the Help America Vote fund.
