Rescuers were called out to save three hikers who had tumbled down a cliff near Moonshiner’s Arch in the Red River Gorge. The trio fell over 50 feet, and accumulated several traumatic injuries though their condition has not been released at this time. Between 30 and 50 responders came to the scene from the Wolfe County Rescue team, Powell County Search and Rescue, and the Menifee County Search and Rescue. According to Michael Hackett, with Wolfe County search and rescue alcohol may have been a factor.
