Emergency responders were called out to a school in Floyd County. The Martin Fire Department investigated an incident at the Renaissance Learning Center in Martin, after smoke was seen coming out of an unused building. Students were evacuated from the property until given an all clear by the fire department. The Kentucky State Police investigated the scene, but do not believe that the fire was intentional. In a statement Dr. Henry Webb thanked the KSP and Martin Fire Department for their help, and said he was happy that no students were in danger.
