With less than two weeks until Kentuckians visit the voting booths, the Democrats have clearly outpaced the Republicans in an important field. Media coverage can make or break a campaign, and according to an analysis by the Center for Public integrity the Democrats are heavily invested in this race. As it stands they have outspent their GOP counterparts by 2.3 million on just television ad space. To put that in perspective, Kentuckians have been exposed to 6,500 more Democrat than Republican ads. In this field Democrat Jack Conway’s campaign has spent more than double the amount his counterpart Republican Matt Bevin. Bevin was also dealt a serious blow when the Republican Governor’s Association pulled their media funding, for several weeks.
