Prosecutors continue to bombard Blankenship with safety issues

The prosecution continues to roll out witnesses in the Don Blankenship trial. Yesterday the prosecution called Scott Halstead, who was a former miner and fire boss at the Upper Big Branch Mine, where the explosion occurred. Halstead testified toward the poor air quality in the mine. As fire boss Halstead was responsible for verifying the mines air quality. In his testimony he told the jury that he had been instructed to stand in an area with better air quality, so his monitoring device would show better results. Halstead was the prosecutions 19th witness, and they informed the judge that they will rest their case next week.
