After a rash of shootings on college campuses in recent months a local campus is making sure it is as ready as possible. The Kentucky State Police will be running active shooter training on the Prestonsburg Campus of Big Sandy Community and Technical College today from 9 am until 4 pm. While campus violence has not been a major issue in the region, officials want to be prepared for the worse case scenario.
