Bevin 2nd Republican Governor in four decades

For only the second time in 4 decades a Republican has been elected to the governorship of Kentucky. According to the unofficial results from the Kentucky Board of Elections Matt Bevin claimed just under 512-thousand votes or 52.5 percent, Jack Conway gained just under 427-thousand votes for 43.8 percent, and Independent Drew Curtis scrounged around 36-tousand votes for 3.7 percent of the total.
