Troopers warn motorist to be extra careful

The Kentucky state police are warning drivers to be extra careful during rut. According to KSP sergeant Michael Webb this time of year is always dangerous for drivers because deer are more active, which can lead them into our roadways. The KSP are advising motorist to drive with extra caution, it is safer to slowdown instead of swerving to try and miss it, and to always be alert especially when driving near wooded areas, streams, golf courses, or parks. Last year the commonwealth reported over three thousand deer collisions, with 3 fatalities and 115 injured.
