Melanie Taulbee is a Telecommunicator with the Kentucky State Police’s post 9 in Pikeville. She was recently presented with the Civilian Employee Award by the Kentucky Women’s Law Enforcement Network during their annual conference at Natural Bridge State Resort Park last Thursday. This award is granted to civilians who work in direct support of Law Enforcement and is given to individuals who demonstrated exceptional achievement in carrying out their duties. Operations Lieutenant Jennifer Sandlin calls Taulbee “a great asset to our post” because “she goes above and beyond her required job duties”.
