Deputies in Floyd County received several calls about homes being broken into in the Stumbo community of Prestonsburg. The suspect was believed to be looking for prescription medication. When Deputies arrived on the scene they encountered 29 year old Brandon Perkins, who fled on foot. According to Deputy Ralph Frasier Perkins broke into a house with 3 children in it to avoid arrest. After additional deputies arrived on the scene, officials were able to arrest Perkins without incident. Charges against Perkins include Public intoxication, Fleeing and Evading in the 2^nd degree, 3 counts of Criminal Trespassing in the 1^st degree, 1 count of burglary in the 3^rd degree, and 2 additional counts of criminal trespassing. According to Deputy Frasier the case is still under investigation and additional charges may follow.
