Governor Elect Matt Bevin has appointed Louisville Attorney Vickie Yates Brown Glisson to the Secretary of Health and Family Services position. Glisson is a health insurance lawyer from Louisville who has sat as chairman of the Health Law Section of the American Bar association and on the advisory council for the Human Genome Project. Bevin campaigned on breaking the Medicaid expansion, and plans to pull coverage from individuals who gained access through the affordable care act.
