Beshear orders flags to half staff

Governor Beshear has ordered flags across the Commonwealth at half STAFF in memory of Pearl Harbor. Seventy four years ago today the United States was brought into World War 2 by a surprise attack on the Pacific Naval Base in Pearl Harbor Hawaii. Around 2,400 American service men and civilians died in the attack. Beshear encourages all government and private agencies and individuals to lower their flags to half staff in memory of this “Day which will live in infamy”.
