Elkhorn City put up the request a couple of months ago, which would allow them to vote for alcohol sales within the city limits. While Pikeville is a wet town, Pike County remains dry. According to the county clerk the city needed 126 valid signatures to put the issue to a vote, but it was returned with only 64. This prevents the issue from even being brought up for a vote.
