Saint Nicholas was escorted by members of the Hurricane Creek Volunteer Fire Department. Children along the route were given a few early Christmas gifts, including candy, toys, and fire fighter hats. Santa was able to enjoy the unseasonably warm weather, shook some hands and hugged a few children along the route. Santa had a busy day, as he was also spotted in several other locations in the region, building the holiday spirit during the countdown until Christmas.
