Another public official is under scrutiny as Paintsville mayor is indicted for misappropriation of funds. The charges allege that Mayor Bob Porter failed to pay 7-thousand dollars in utility services between 2009 and 2012. Porter and the former general manager of Paintsville utilities are both accused of making false statements to the FBI regarding the utility charges. He is also alleged to have used city funds for personal expenses and used a city vehicle to go on vacation. Mayor Porter has not made a public statement, but is expected to be arraigned in Federal Court on January 8^th.
