State Republicans are questioning the needle exchange policy

Many health departments across the Commonwealth are not requiring addicts to turn in an old need to going entry into the states needle exchange program. State Senate President, republican Robert Stivers, asked the Attorney General’s office for clarification on the issue. According to Jack Conway’s office addicts do not have to turn in an old needle to receive a new one as long as they participate in the program. The exchange was created as a way to lower the number of blood born diseases among the addicted community.
