30 year old Orie Spence jr of Martin County stood accused of the murder of 2013 murder of Edgar and April Hedrick. Spence pled guilty and yesterday morning he was sentenced to 30 years in prison. In an interview with WYMT family members of the slain couple expressed their discontent, and had hoped for the death penalty or a 50 year sentence. Spence had an outburst in front of the victim’s families as he was being ushered out of the courtroom, saying “Blame it on me, everyone else does”.
