A West Virginia man is facing life in prison on drug charges

Tyrone Davis of Mingo County was taken into custody after 18-thousand dollars worth of marijuana was allegedly shipped to him from Arizona. Davis was convicted on Tuesday of conspiracy to possess a controlled substance, with the intent to deliver. While this offense usually carries a 5 year sentence, WSAZ reports that prosecutors plan to file paperwork categorizing Davis as a repeat offender and requesting a life sentence. He is scheduled for sentencing later this month.
