A West Virginia man is facing life in prison on drug charges

Tyrone Davis of Mingo County was taken into custody for his alleged involvement with 18-thousand dollars worth of marijuana that was shipped to two locations in West Virginia from Arizona. Davis was convicted on Tuesday of conspiracy to possess a controlled substance, with the intent to deliver. According to Mingo County assistant prosecutor, Justin Marcum, Davis had two prior violent crimes on his record, which allowed his office to ask for life in prison under the West Virginia Habitual Criminal Statues. Marcum went on to say that his office is tired of violent crimes and drugs in Mingo County.
