State Democrats are able to maintain their hold on the house

Last week Republican Floor Leader, Jeff Hoover of Jamestown, made an announcement that Monday could be a historic day in Kentucky. Republicans had been leaning on several of the Democratic house members to switch parties, but they seem to have failed in their efforts and the Democrats have maintained a 4 vote majority. With the special election scheduled for March 8th in districts 8, 52, 64 and 98, Republicans have an opportunity to break the last Democrat controlled State Building in the South.
