The Kentucky State Police will be out in force this month

In a press release Troop Jody Sims from Post 9 in Hazard said his department will be on the roads and placing checkpoints to ensure driver safety. With road deaths in Kentucky reaching an all time high in recent years, law enforcement agencies across the commonwealth have been trying to step up their efforts to improve public safety. The KSP will be on the lookout for speeding, restraint violations, impaired driving, and vehicle registration and licensing. One offense that Sims said trooper will definitely be on the lookout for is texting while driving.
