Friday’s storm saw several inches of snow falling quickly. Apparently the winter weather was too much for a one shop in downtown Prestonsburg. The weekend’s blizzard dropped enough snow on top of the awning outside of the Lad ‘N Lassies clothing store that it collapsed yesterday morning. According to the owners there wasn’t any damage to the inside of the shop, but they fear the external damage will cause leaks. The shop is located in an older building, and the owners fear that the roof may not be sound. Repairs are still underway on the building.
