Harassment charges against a former official were dropped

In December former Prestonsburg Mayor Jerry Fannin was charged with harassing Rescue Squad Captain Tim Cooley. According to Cooley Fannin had come to his place of employment, and had sent messages to his family. Fannin’s wife works at the rescue squad, and his children are dropped off there after school. According to Fannin he has to go to the building to pick them up. Cooley agreed to dismiss the charges, with the stipulation that Fannin refrain from contacting him or his family and he not enter the building while picking up family members.
