A Floyd County man accused of stabbing his wife claims he is not guilty

Thurston Sturgill of Hi Hat was taken into custody by the Kentucky State Police in early December for stabbing his wife, Tina Sturgill, and leaving her for dead. When troopers found his at a relative’s home in Letcher County they reported he was covered in blood. Tine Sturgill was treated for life threatening injuries, and made a recovery. Sturgill went before a judge yesterday and entered a plea of not guilty. He is currently being held on a 100-thousand dollar full cash bond.
