On Monday, an elderly woman in the Colson Community reported that two men in a red car grabbed her purse and fled the scene. Later that day the Whitesburg Police Department responded to a call from a woman who claimed that a man tried to steal her wallet in the Rite-Aid parking lot. Both victims described the culprits as white males, traveling in a small red four door car; the second victim said her assailant was wearing a camouflage jacket. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the KSP or the Whitesburg Police Department.
