A local pharmacy was robbed at gunpoint

Officials have released the name of the man who robbed a Pikeville Pharmacy. Troopers from Kentucky State Police post 9 responded to the call just after 9:30 yesterday morning. 33 year old Christopher Daniels is alleged to have entered the Commonwealth Pharmacy in Pikeville and demanded prescription medication. Daniels fled the scene on foot but was apprehended yesterday evening. According to the KSP they received several tips that led them to the arrest. Daniels is currently being housed in the Pike County Detention Center.

According to a release, a man entered the Commonwealth Pharmacy in Pikeville and demanded prescription medication. The suspect was able to evade the police, and escaped the scene on foot. According to the KSP the subject was a male, approximately 5’ 7’’, and wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, gloves, camouflage mask, jeans, and boots. They are asking the public for assistance in locating the culprit, anyone with information can make anonymous tips at 606 433 7711.
