On Saturday, deputies on patrol in Ivel spotted a suspicious vehicle parked near the BP station. After questioning the stores employees they discovered the car had been parked there for a long time. Officials approached the vehicle and found 29 year old Jessie Ira Church in passed out inside. Deputies searched Church and found several illegal drugs, a pair of steel knuckles and an A-S-P baton. Church is in police custody and has been charged with operating a vehicle under the influence, possession in the 2^nd and 3^rd degree, illegal possession of a legend drug, and carrying a concealed deadly weapon. In a statement, the sheriff’s office said that an investigation is ongoing and more charges could be pending.
