In an update from yesterday, Noah’s Law has received unanimous support.

The bill is sponsored by Senate Democratic Floor Leader Ray Jones and filed by House Speaker Greg Stumbo. The namesake of the bill, 9 year old Noah Greenville of Pike County is unable to eat most foods and depends on a feeding tube and special formula. Unfortunately, his insurance did not cover the 40 dollar daily treatment. This new law would require insurance companies to cover special formulas for patients who cannot eat regular food. Yesterday the bill went before the Senate Health and Welfare, and the House Banking and Insurance Committees, where it passed with unanimous support. It must now go before the House and Senate and be signed into law by Governor Bevin.
