On March 5th, members of the Republican Party will meet across the Commonwealth to cast their vote for president. The event was designed to allow Senator Rand Paul to run for two offices. Kentucky law currently forbids candidates from running for multiple offices on the same ballot. While Paul has ended his presidential run, the GOP is still forwarding the event. The Floyd County Republicans are holding their event at the Mountain Arts Center from 10 am to 4 pm. They have extended an open invitation for all voters, regardless of affiliation, to observe the historical event.
