A Lexington student was stabbed

According to a media report, James Mcnillin, principal of Fayette County High School, sent a notification to parents, notifying them of what he called an isolated incident. He went on to state a student allegedly stabbed another student, he also informed parents the student was charged with first degree assault. Officials say the investigation will be dealt with by the school’s law enforcement. The victim was treated for his injuries, which were non life threatening, the weapon in question was a pocketknife.
