Jenny Wiley Chapter AARP will have a special monthly meeting, Tuesday , May 3, 2016 at 5:15 p.m. in the Highland Terrace Apartments meeting room in honor of Older Americans month. County Judge Executive Ben Hale will be present to present a proclamation on behalf of the County. Speaker of the House Greg Stumbo will also be present and will have remarks on the completed legislative session including a Caretaker Bill which he cosponsored on behalf of AARP. That Bill passed the House but was not called up in the Senate. The Bill would require hospitals to educate a patient’s caretaker regarding necessary treatment and care when the patient goes home. The Public is invited to attend the meeting.
