According to an article from WYMT 52 year old Samuel Cornett has been charged with Murder, Attempted Murder, Burglary, Wanton Endangerment and Fetal Homicide after a shooting on April 30th. Relatives say that Cornett and his 35 year old girlfriend Alisha Tye were arguing because she wanted to leave him. Amanda Ross says Cornett, looking to seek shelter from the fight at his aunt’s home, broke in and hit her, as well as many others. He then went to a back room where Alisha Tye was. She was taken to the hospital and died Sunday.
