According to a release the KSP is investigating a residential structure fire in the Clay City Community of Powell County as an Arson and Burglary. The fire occurred on Monday May 16, 2016 at 497 Irvine Road and  occurred at approximately 12:48 in the afternoon.  A weapon and cash were stolen from the residence.   Kentucky State Police Investigators report the fire was intentionally ignited in an attempt to conceal the theft.  Anyone with any information are encouraged to call the Kentucky State Police Morehead Post at (606) 784 4127 or contact the Kentucky Arson Hotline at 1-800- 27ARSON, you may remain anonymous, a reward of up to $1,000 is offered for information  leading the arrest and conviction of the offender.
