AG Beshear has teamed up with a collection of states to file a complaint that could give Kentucky nearly three million dollars. The dispute in question is seeking to give Kentucky the right to take unclaimed “official checks” that were issued by MoneyGram, which is a money wire transfer service used quite often. Beshear joined Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge and Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton in a group of 21 states filing this action in the U.S. Supreme Court against Delaware. MoneyGram operates in all 50 states as well as internationally.
