According to a release, Kentucky State Police responded to the Kentucky River Medical Center June 25th, after two individuals were brought in whom had sustained gunshot wounds to the chest. After speaking with police, the victims disclosed that they had both been shot by Sandra Hurt. After responding to a residence on Cook Fork Road, troopers discovered an unresponsive Sandra Hurt, and man with what appeared to be a fatal gunshot wound. She was transported to KRMC and was admitted to ICU for medical issues unrelated to gunshot wounds. Her husband, 47 year old Henry Hurt of South Fork was pronounced dead on scene. Investigators hope to obtain an arrest warrant for Sandra. Due to her medical condition, it is unsure when she will be be formally charged.
