In an article to the Floyd County Times, The David School Announced that it was given a $30,000 dollar grant from an un-disclosed sponsor. They went on to say that the money was broken up into two increments of $15,000 dollars. The first payment awarded back in May, and the second to be given in May of 2017. The David School is a nonprofit educational facility, as it relies solely on grants and the community to maintain operation for Appalachian drop-outs, students at risk of dropping-out, or students who’s financial recourses are limited.
