Ceremony to name a portion of KY 122 which runs through McDowell, Floyd County, in memory of Lance Corporal Jonathan B. Thornsberry, killed in Iraq in 2006

The 2016 Kentucky General Assembly named a stretch of KY 122 which runs through McDowell in Floyd County the Lance Cpl. Jonathan B. Thornsberry Memorial Highway. A ceremony to honor Thornsberry and unveil the sign bearing his name is set for Friday, July 8, 2016, at 10 a.m. in he parking lot of Floyd County Clerk Chris Waugh’s satellite office on KY 122 at McDowell.
