According to a release from the Kentucky State Police, a dismembered body found in a container on July 23, 2016 has been identified as Kristen Edwards, a 22 year old female from Barren County. The body was discovered by a fisherman. The investigation is being conducted as a Murder. Additional information is not being released at this time. Officials are asking anyone with any information to contact Kentucky State Police post in Bowling Green. According to an article from WDRB the woman was a mother of two.  Friends of the victim have pleaded for who ever responsible to come forward.
