According to the Floyd County Times, the Floyd County Sheriff’s Department arrested Scottie Dewayne Tackett, of Melvin, Friday night in Wheelwright. Deputies received a call of their Tip Line with Tackett’s vehicle description and was found Wheelwright’s Dollar General parking lot. Found in his vehicle was one-half gram of cocaine, 2,167 pills, including Morphine and Xanax, 80 Suboxone packs, one 38 handgun, two muzzle loader rifles, and over $10,000 in cash. Tackett is facing three counts of first degree illegal druck trafficking, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon and possibly facing additional charges.
