According to a release, detectives were dispatched to the house fire located at  Rockhouse Road in the Salyersville community of Magoffin County at approximately 2:02 P.M. on Sunday, August 14, 2016, requesting assistance on a fatal house fire.  The preliminary investigation revealed that emergency personnel located one individual deceased in the residence. The victim has been sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsy and identification. The cause of the fire and death is under investigation.
