According to the Floyd County Times, crews have been working hard to repair bridges and fixing landslides on the Route 979 Harold-Minnie Connector. Crews have been working to even up the roadway surface after years of concrete and asphalt settling after the Harold-Minnie Connector project was completed in 2003. In Ivel, work is being done to scale back rock to loosen material from a slide, which should be completed by Sunday. The final phase in Ivel is expected to be completed in October.
