Magoffin County Judge-Executive to Keep Position

Despite evidence of alleged voter fraud, the Associated Press reports that Magoffin County judge-executive Charles “Doc” Hardin will get to keep his job. The Kentucky Supreme Court gave a unanimous ruling to overturn a lower court’s decision to throw out the results of the 2014 Magoffin County judge-executive elections. Hardin won the election by 28 votes through a majority of absentee ballots, which led to his opponent John Montgomery to sue. The court agreed the results were suspicious, but not enough to throw out the election results.
