A Pike County woman has been arrested for elder abuse, according to an article from WYMT. Angela Polley was arrested Wednesday after being accused of physically assaulting her 85 year old step-grandfather, John Carter. Detective Bruce Collins with the Pikeville Police Department said Carter had visible injuries around his neck and the arrest warrant details witnesses saw Polley assaulting him, which was also caught on video. The incident happened August 8th at Myers Towers in Pikeville, where she was also seen punching Carter in the face. Police urge anyone suspecting someone is abusing the elderly to call local law enforcement officials.
