A ribbon cutting ceremony took place today for the new Combs Airport Boat Ramp. Kentucky Fish and Wildlife along with Paintsville Mayor Bob Porter and Prestonsburg Mayor Les Stapleton invited the community out to celebrate the new boat ramp near the Johnson/Floyd County line on KY-1428. According to Mayor Bob Porter of Paintsville the Combs Airport Boat Ramp has been an on –going endeavor since 2009 and he was very thankful when Mayor Les Stapleton of Prestonsburg joined the project last year. According to Mayor Les Stapleton of Prestonsburg a project such as the boat ramp is almost unheard of anymore as it represents a joint venture between  public, private, local, state, and federal entities.
