Pike County woman Melissa Damron was arrested the evening of Sunday, September 4, after breaking into her parents’ home. Kentucky State Police say Damron forced her way into the home, stole Xanax and a gun, as well as cutting the phone lines to prevent them from calling 911. She fired shots at her father inside the home, one bullet grazing his head and damaging cars parked outside. She was arrested at her home with drug residue in her purse. Damron is charged with assault second degree, burglary first degree, and criminal mischief first degree.
