The Daily Independent is reporting a yearlong investigation has resulted in the arrests of four in Catlettsburg on Tuesday. The investigation through the work of Body County Sheriff’s office, Commonwealth Attorney David Justice, and the DEA tracked suspects receiving shipments of up to 800 pounds of marijuana and large amounts of prescription medication flown in to the Ashland Airport on a biweekly basis. Warrants executed on Frederick W. Jackson, Chrystal Jackson, Edward Edwards, and Wayne Robertson lead to the seizure of over $100,000 in cash, hundreds of prescription medications, numerous vehicles, planes, houses, and a large amount of marijuana. All are facing charges of engaging in organized crime, while Frederick and Robertson also face charges of trafficking. More arrests are expected.
