Olympians Accuse Doctor of Sexual Assault

Two Olympic gymnasts, including one from Kentucky, have accused a former doctor for USA Gymnastics of sexual assault. The Associated Press reports a civil lawsuit was filed last week in California alleges Dr. Larry Nassar of sexually groping and fondling the teenage Olympians under the guise of physical therapy. “Jane Doe” was only identified as a medal-winning member of the team in the 2000 Sydney Olympics. Rachael Denhollander of Louisville, Kentucky said she was sexually abused by Nassar while undergoing treatment in 2000, at the age of 15, at Michigan State University. Matthew Borgula, attorney for Nassar, said the doctor denies any wrongdoing.
