The Cawood Water District in Harlan County held a meeting Tuesday evening to discuss problems with water quality its residents have, according to WYMT. One issue residents have is lack of notice about boil water advisories or water being shut off. Board member Lana Pace said Emergency Management was aware and looking into a call system to notify residents. Brown water from sediment in the pipes was also a problem and the main reason for the boil water advisories being issued. Officials said customers will see a “tremendous” difference in a short time, which customers said they were impressed by and hopeful to see the improvement.
