The Floyd County Chronicle reports Allen Central High School junior Shawna Holbrook was selected to be a member of the National Society of High School Scholars. The honor is given to students recognized as “top scholars who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, scholarship and community commitment.” Superintendent Dr. Henry Webb said the board team is “proud of Shawna’s accomplishments” and “excited to see her future accomplishments. Holbrook is also a graduate of the 2016 Rogers Scholars program.
