The Bell County Historical Museum will soon be home to Bigfoot, reports WYMT. The bigfoot costume, measuring over 7 feet tall, was part of a hoax in 2008 that saw the mythical creature frozen in ice. It was bought by two men with Middlesboro ties before realizing it was a hoax after the thaw. The museum has exhibits focused on several themes with cultural significance to the region, including coal. The museum’s Executive Director William Tribell said that while they are not necessarily part of the Bigfoot hunt, they want to document it’s significance to the region.
